My baby girl turned 2.

Bridgette turned 2 on the 16th. We don't have her 2 year old stats yet since her dr. appointment is in January. But I'm pretty sure she's the size of a 3 year old. Actually two 3 year olds. I get asked at least 4xs a day if I have triplets. She talks a ton and sings right along with her sisters all day. She loves to sing diegos theme song. When I ask her to do something like put her shoes away she responds with " Never". I'm not sure where she learned that response. When asked how old she is she tells everyone that she's 3 and refuses to admit she's 2. I asked her what she wanted for her Birthday dinner she told me " I want french fries." I then suggested other things like chicken or pizza and she told me with fierce determination " NO want PIZZA. I want FRENCH FRIES". So a dinner of french fries it was. She is a very spunky little girl. But she also has her super sweet side. When ever someone gets hurt she likes to kiss their owie better. She also loves to give her new brother lots and lots of kisses. She is a super fun girl and we love having her in our family.

This is the kind of cake a busy and super tired mom makes for a 2 year old.

Coming Home

Mika and Davin came home from the hospital last Thursday. The girls were thrilled to finally meet "baby brother" (which is what they have been calling him since we found out that we were having a boy). They were even more thrilled to have their mommy back. They had a blast with the Wrides, Goolds and AnnaLisa -- who all helped take care of the girls while we were in the hospital. Not sure what we would have done without them . . .

Mika was extremely happy to have her little boy home safe and sound and her little girls back in her arms.

Here are a few photos of Davin's first interaction with the girls (and his Aunt AnnaLisa). As you can see the girls wanted to get dressed up for the occasion.
As soon as we walked in the door, McKenzie and Bridgette wanted to hold Davin.

Davin was an instant hit with the girls and I am sure he looks forward to a future of being surrounded by loving and adoring big sisters.

Davin Eli

Davin Eli decided to make his appearance this morning at 11:37am. He is a very masculine 7lbs and 20.5 inches long. He wowed the pediatric nurse with his great color, breathing and alertness. She gave him a 9.9 apgar score. She said the only reason she did not give him a perfect 10 is because the bottom of his feet were not perfectly pink.

Mika did a great job and got him out after only a couple of good pushes. Both Davin and Mika are doing well. Here are a few photos:

Thanksgiving past.

Thought I'd take a trip down memory lane with past thanksgivings. Don't worry there aren't too many pictures since we're so busy eating to even think about the camera. Plus nobody wants pictures of themself stuffing their faces.

We spent Thanksgiving 2004 in London, England.

Thanksgiving 2006 was spent at my parent's house in Sequim, Wa. Top is McKenzie and Bottom is Lauren.

2007 was at Pete's sister Lara's house here in Fairfax, Va. And NO I did not eat the whole turkey by myself. Even though it felt like it.
We spent 2008 at our house with my dad.

I'm really hoping not to spend this years Thanksgiving here (Reston Hospital). Hospitals already have super gross food, I can't imagine what their Thanksgiving meal would consist of. So if everyone could pray that this little guy comes really soon I'd realllllly appreciate it.

Not magic

I thought about going as a magic 8 ball. But was too scared I'd get shaken. So I went as a regular 8 ball.

Halloween decor

Pete will testify that when I start to nest I don't clean. I craft or take on huge house painting projects (which I think he secretly loves. hehehe). Lately it's been Halloween decorations. I made these super cute pumpkin blocks. The one with yellow eyes glows in the dark. Nice thing about these is that I can turn them around and use them for my fall decor.

I bought these skulls at the dollar store and painted them white and sprinkled glitter on them. Then glued red rhinestones for their eyes. I think it looks pretty cool.
Also made this cool sign from wood I got at Home Depot for 25 cents. Painted it and mod podged on glitter letters.

Still have a ton more ideas to do. So stay tuned to see what else this baby will help me put out.
